Tom Peterson – Self-Determination And Creating Change
“Success Emerged By Shifting To Leadership By Service, Not By Command.”
Tom Peterson founded the Center for Climate Strategies to help governments do a better job managing climate change.
In a journey from a Christian fellowship club at college to this world-scale issue, Peterson has used the principle of stakeholder self-determination as an effective way to create change.
The EPA gave Tom two Gold Medals for his contributions to Pacific Northwest Forest and Northern spotted owl management; he won a Bronze Medal from the International Film and Television Festival of New York for co-producing the wildlife documentary series Natural, Wild and Free; and he was selected as Conservationist of the Year by the Arkansas Wildlife Federation.
Tom’s approach to career management features a diversity of personal preparation as a way to maximize the diversity of job opportunities and as a way to maximize his chance to create change.
